Village Church (formally Dingley Union Church) began as a Sunday School Mission in the Dingley Primary School in the 1930’s. Land was given to the Church for the development of a Church facility in Marcus Road Dingley Village the 1940’s, land which was sold in 2007. The need to sell the Marcus Road property came about because the Community saw the need to have the central shopping precinct redeveloped. The only way this was possible was for the land we owned to be released.
During these past 70 - 80 years Village Church has become an integral part of the Dingley Village Community. We have positioned ourselves to be a Church for the people. A Church that seeks to partner with the Community in what ever ways necessary to help create a safe place for people to explore their spiritual journey while helping them to admit and overcome the issues of their lives. Put simply Village Church is here to inspire people to discover and develop life in Christ.
Village Church is only as strong as its people, as vibrant as its participants, and as fruitful as its volunteers. Why? Because… Village Church is people! Our gathering place is where we gather, and our size is measured by our hearts. This is a family waiting for you. You’ll find everything God has in store when you jump in.

At Village Church you will experience inspirational and creative talks that relate to the issues of everyday life, delivered in a way that makes sense. We believe that God’s Word is as relevant to the world today as it was when it was first written and so we strive to communicate it in practical and understandable ways.
Upbeat music is a central part of our times together. We like to celebrate all that God does for us and music is a great tool to do just that! So come prepared to be inspired and uplifted as each week our musicians and vocalists move your spirit from earth to heaven.
Kids are a vital part of Village Church life. Our Kids workers are some of the best you will find. Their passion for seeing Kids love God drives them to do their very best to inspire your most precious ones. Your child’s safety and protection is paramount to us and so all of our Kids workers undergo a full Working With Children Check and carry the necessary government regulated identification cards.
At Village Church we don’t exist for ourselves. We exist for others. We believe that the Church should be seen as necessary in our community and so that is why we seek to honor God by serving.
Through our Community Assist Program we give away thousands of volunteer hours to our community each year, while at the same time partnering with other organizations to offer vital services to our community.
Wherever you are on your journey with God you will find a place at Village Church. Come and visit us and see for yourself. We meet at the Harold Box Hall 31 Marcus Road Dingley Village. Our service time is 5pm on the first Sunday of the month and 10am for the remaining Sunday’s of each month.
